Pignon Christian Academy

THANKS TO EVERYONE WHO HAS DONATED AND IS HELPING TO MAKE THIS A REALITY.

Pignon Christian Academy's construction started on October 14th of 2019. After weeks of hard work by the construction crew, the foundation was dug, and the concrete slab laid for five classrooms and one administrative office. In December 2020, Job 29 purchased a concrete blocking-making machine and men in the community were hired to make blocks for the school walls. The school walls and the framework for the roof were completed in February 2021 and the concrete roof was poured in April 2022. In May 2023 the bathroom falicity was completed. Please see the WATCH VIDEO link above for visuals of the accomplishments we have made on this construction project thus far. We are grateful to our faithful partners for their support!

Job 29 continues to work on finishing the elementary school. In the future, the organization is planning to utilize the school building to also teach English classes to people in the cummunity. In Haiti, being able to speak a foreign language is considered an important and marketable trade. With a 90% national unemployment rate, speaking English is an important skill which can lead to greater job opportunities in both private and business sectors. Additionally, equipping individuals from Pignon and neighboring towns with English skills will increase the pool of translators to assist with future work groups and medical teams coming to serve in Haiti.
